The Canadian Economics Employment Exchange (CEEE) will be on Friday December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at the Park Hyatt Hotel (Yorkville) at 4 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario, M5R 2E8. The purpose of the CEEE is to facilitate the search of Canadian PhD candidates who are seeking employment and of the Canadian organizations who may be interested in hiring these candidates.
The CEEE meetings will begin on Friday, December 9th, with interviews taking place approximately between 9:00am and 6:00 pm. On Saturday, December 10th, the interviews will continue from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Interviews are arranged prior to the CEEE. Both candidates and organizations should schedule their interviews before the CEEE by directly contacting each other. Rooms have been booked with the Park Hyatt. Employers are advised to book one of the $300+tax per night Park Suites for interviews. These rooms have a separate living room/sitting area, and provide a comfortable and professional interview setting. If you have multiple teams interviewing, we advise that a suite is booked for each team.
King rooms at $209+tax per night are also available to provide accommodation for candidates and interviewers. These rooms do not have a partition between the sleeping and sitting area, so are a less appropriate venue in which to hold interviews.

INFORMATION DESK AND REGISTRATION
There will be an Information Desk at the Park Hyatt Hotel, BEDFORD ROOM, open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 9th and 10th. Employers must register at the information desk and report their hotel room numbers. A message board and hotel house telephone will be available. Interviews are usually conducted in the rooms of the interviewer(s). Candidates especially should note that hotel staff will not give out room numbers: this information will only be available at the information desk.
On Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm, there will be a reception sponsored by the Bank of Canada. The reception is held at the Department of Economics of UofT (only a few blocks from the Hyatt): Max Gluskin House, University of Toronto, 150 St. George St., Toronto, Ontario M5S 3G7, Canada. All CEEE participants are welcomed. PLEASE make sure to drop by the information desk at the Hyatt to pick up your name tag and ticket for the event.
There is no charge for candidates. A fee of $169.50 per employer ($150 plus 13% HST[ON]) is required to cover the costs of operating the exchange. Employers should pre-register as this gives an indication of the number attending. Please make your credit card payment using our online payment system. Employers (typically represented by the department chair) should log in to their account on my.economics.ca, click on "Make Payment", and select the CEEE 2016 registration fee.
