Accommodation

The timing of the CEA meetings corresponds to the beginning of the tourist/convention season in Halifax. It is highly recommended that you book early (by early April) as there may be limited availability/high prices as the season begins.

Howe Hall Residence
Location: 6230 Coburg Rd; located one block from the main conference venue.
Rooms: Rooms are standard, spartan residence rooms.

The Lord Nelson Hotel
Location: 1515 South Park Street; located a fifteen minute walk east of the main conference venue. It overlooks the Public Gardens (a Victorian formal garden) and is adjacent to the Spring Garden Road shopping/dining area.
Amenities: There is a small fitness centre but no pool.

Location: 1980 Robie Street; located a fifteen minute walk north of the main conference venue and overlooks the Halifax Commons (an extensive area with sports fields, a play-ground and skate-board park).

These are the closest accommodations and are frequently used by Dalhousie. Nonconference hotels that are slightly further (25 minutes walk from conference) but often used by Dalhousie include The Westin Nova Scotian and Cambridge Suites Halifax.
