Delta Hotel
  • Hotel Services and Amenities for Parents travelling with children
  • The Delta on-site day care takes children 3 yrs. and older (and potty trained). The cost is $5 per child for 2.5 hrs or $25 for 4 hours for 4 children. A special rate is available for the parents if the children need to there all day from 8am-5pm. (NB: July 2008 data -- we'll update the info in Spring 2009)
Babysitting/Childcare Services

For those with younger children or who are not staying at the Delta, child care can be arranged through one of the following sites:

Family Friendly Restaurant Recommendations Arts and Events for the family Guides for Sightseeing with the Kids Some favourite activities for families
  • Toronto Islands
  • ROM (dinosaurs and other good stuff)
  • Casa Loma (Toronto's faux castle on the hill; warning not suitable for strollers)
  • Hockey Hall of Fame
  • Swimming at JCC or Athletic Center Athletic Centre (for those not staying at the Delta)
  • Anything down at the Waterfront
  • The rock in Yorkville on Cumberland St. between Avenue Rd and Bellair (little kids like to climb it; and a great place for people watching)
  • Ontario Science Centre (about 10km from downtown, easy access by public transit, great `hands-on' fun).
  • Gardiner Ceramic Museum has special activities for kids on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon
  • AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) has special activities for kids
  • Bata Shoe Museum Only in Toronto, eh?
