The 53rd Annual Conference of the Canadian Economics Association will be held Friday May 31st to Sunday June 2nd, 2019 at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. The conference is hosted by the University of Calgary. Conference highlights include Catherine Wolfram (UC Berkeley) and Nathan Nunn (Harvard). Click here for ongoing updates of invited speakers. (highlights page).

To propose a special session, contact Paula Emery no later than January 31st, 2019. Abstracts can be submitted here any time up to February 15, 2019. A full list of deadlines follows below.

Calendar of Important Dates and Deadlines (tentative)
December 1, 2018 The conference organizer starts accepting submissions of papers for presentation at the conference through the web interface.
January 31, 2019 Last day for prospective session organizers to contact the program office for booking blocks of sessions.
February 1, 2019 Advance registration for the conference commences.
February 15, 2019 Last day for submitting papers or abstracts to the conference organizer.
March 31, 2019 Last day for travel grant applications to be submitted to the CEA Secretary-Treasurer.
March 31, 2019 Last day for notifying paper submitters on the acceptance or rejection of their paper for presentation.
April 13, 2018 Last day for paper presenters to register. Presenters must register by this date or lose their conference program slot.
April 15, 2019 Preliminary program is expected to become available.
May 10, 2019 Early registration ends, and late registration fees apply thereafter.
May 30, 2019 Select sessions organized by affiliated groups begin.
May 31, 2019 The conference begins.
